Description: Lyndon B. Johnson was the 36th President of the United States, and owing to the passage of historic legislation during his administration, he’s known as our “Civil Rights President.” To continue his legacy, the LBJ Library held the “Summit on Race in America” in 2019.
Hear actual telephone recordings that reveal the seminal behind-the-scenes partnership between LBJ and MLK, Jr. that led to major civil rights advances, including the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.
